They capture attention with their illegal actions and are fascinating examples of antisocial behavior. Let's find out together who the most dangerous criminals in the world are and why they are considered such.

1. Michael Gordon Peterson

His first and last crime was committed in 1974. Michael committed an armed robbery of a post office, stealing £26.18. He was sentenced to seven years for this, but due to his behavior—constant fights with guards and riots—he has now been behind bars for over 36 years! In 1992, Peterson was released, but his time there was short-lived; just a month later, he was arrested for planning an armed robbery. He also pursued artistic endeavors behind bars: his paintings received mixed reviews from critics, which didn't prevent him from gaining wild popularity among art lovers. One day, he smeared himself with oil and, naked, began a massacre of prison guards. Only a specialized squad was able to subdue the troublemaker, who, with difficulty and through negotiations, managed to persuade him to surrender. A film, "Bronson," was made about Michael.

2. Eduardo Ravelo

In 2008, he escaped during a prison riot. He is accused of numerous crimes: he organized a syndicate involved in money laundering and drug trafficking (cocaine and marijuana). He is the captain of Barrio Azteca, a criminal organization known for its brutality. He is responsible for the deaths of several dozen people, ordering his subordinates to eliminate competitors. He is linked to crime syndicates in South America.

3. Glen Stewart Godwin

A 20th-century American criminal, Folsom State Penitentiary in California proved no obstacle to his escape in 1987 while serving a sentence for murder. Six months later, Glen was charged by Puerto Vallarta authorities with drug trafficking. Interestingly, while serving time in Guadalajara, he killed all his fellow inmates with a shank (according to some sources, between two and five people) and then escaped.

4. Ayman al-Zawahiri

Osama bin Laden's deputy, who became the leader of al-Qaeda after his death. Experts, however, believe he is merely a front man al-Qaeda uses for its video messages. Al-Zawahiri's ties to terrorist attacks in the US and Europe have already been confirmed. Any information on his whereabouts that leads to his capture is worth $25 million. A decent chance to make money, you'd agree.

5. Luis Albeiro Pena-Pena

The father of a Colombian drug cartel and a cocaine supplier to the United States. 2005 was marked by the arrest of Luis Albeiro's men and what they were escorting: $1.8 million and two tons of cocaine. Semyon Mogilevich

A Russian-speaking criminal accused of coordinating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of over $150 million. The pyramid's headquarters were in Pennsylvania. He has been spotted in Greece, Ukraine, Israel, and even his home country of Russia. He has a long-standing addiction: smoking.

7. Joel Cardenes-Meneses

Born in Mexico, Cardenes-Meneses was a passenger in a truck carrying eleven immigrants in 2004. The driver, intoxicated, lost control, causing the vehicle to veer into a ditch, flip over several times, and eventually fall into a river. Because the truck bed was sealed from the outside, the immigrants were unable to escape. Their torture lasted for several hours: some suffocated from lack of air, while others were drowned in the water that entered the truck bed. Meneses fled the scene without bothering to help the unfortunate immigrants. Authorities are still trying to find the perpetrator.

8. James Bulger

If you saw him, you'd be more likely to help him cross the street than to think you were looking at a dangerous criminal. James is 81 years old. From 1970 to 1985, James Bulger led a criminal organization in Boston. His track record includes hundreds of crimes: extortion, drug trafficking, and dozens of murders around the world. He has a passion for studying history. He frequents libraries and bookstores. Special agents are unable to track his movements: yesterday he was in Europe, today he was seen in the US, but you never know where he'll be tomorrow. Provocative political markings were found on the girl's body. Since Flores is from Honduras, there is reason to believe he moved there illegally, using forged documents.

12. Daniel Andreas San Diego

He is accused of organizing bombings in San Francisco, California. A self-taught man, he made homemade explosive devices filled with metal balls and sharp nails. Seven of his accomplices were arrested in the United States in 2007. He is currently in Europe, and the United States requested his extradition, but human rights organizations managed to overturn their decision. He is now free and completely safe. Let's hope we are safe too.

17. Victor Manuel Guerena

The hunt for Viktor has been ongoing for over 30 years, but even intelligence agencies can't locate him.
