If you've taken everything into consideration when buying a private home, you'll definitely need a garage. Rain, humidity, and moisture—you'll need protection from all of these. So, you've decided to build a garage. First, you need to decide what material to use.
Concrete garage
Concrete garages are stronger and more reliable. However, interior work is very difficult, and the construction process is incredibly labor-intensive, requiring a crane. Concrete garages can also experience condensation, meaning when the indoor temperature is higher than the outside temperature, a large amount of moisture can form on the ceiling. Naturally, if your car is left in such a garage for a long time, it will rust.
The same problem exists in iron garages. However, their production is much cheaper, and purchasing one won't entail a large outlay.
Wooden garage
A wooden garage is the most suitable option. All condensation is absorbed by the wood, and if it's treated with a special compound, it won't damage the material and your car will be safe. Plus, you can build it yourself.
The key is to use a reliable foundation, such as cinder blocks held together with a cement screed. This "monolithic" foundation won't crumble under the weight of the entire structure. The worst option is a crushed stone foundation. Such a foundation will soon crumble, leading to structural failure.
Walls are best constructed from logs or beams. It's advisable to panel the inside of the walls with clapboard. Insulation should be done with fiberglass, but this is not necessary.
The roof's exterior can be covered with various materials, depending on taste. The interior should be covered with a layer of roofing felt with fiberglass on top.
Necessary additions
When installing a garage or parking space on your property, it's important to consider a few key factors. For example, if you have children running around near the garage, or if you have beautiful flower beds and a lawn that you don't want to damage with a car, consider installing a speed bump to control vehicle speed. Choose only the best equipment and building materials for your property!
